When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make their community better, it’s a beautiful thing—and an incredible feeling for everyone involved. That’s Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring men and women serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.

Locally, we are a group of men and women in our community who are interested in helping those with vision and hearing needs, making our community a better place to live, and enjoying fun and fellowship.

We support:

  • Hearing and Diabetic Retinopathy Screenings
  • Boy Scouts Troop 70
  • Boys & Girls Club
  • Camp Lions
  • Leader Dog – Guide Dog Program
  • Community Fund
  • Lions International – disaster assistance, help for refugees and other global causes like diabetes, hunger, childhood cancer, the environment and vision
  • Lions of Illinois Foundation – delivery of programs and services to the visually and hearing impaired, in cooperation with local Lions Clubs

We meet once a month, September through May, for a dinner and business meeting.
